Terms and Conditions
Please note our General Terms and Conditions (Allgemeine Geschäftsbedingungen, AGB) for registering for our events (courses/seminars/workshops):
General information and registration
Please note that the minimum age for taking part in our events is 16 years. For participants between 16 and 18 years of age, consent of a parent or legal guardian is required. To confirm this consent, payment for minors must be made by the parent or legal guardian.
A fee is charged for participation in our events. Registration takes place via our online forms. As soon as we have processed your registration and can offer you a spot, you will receive a registration confirmation at the email address you provided. The invoice will be sent in a follow-up email (see the section Payment below). Your spot is only firmly reserved for you once your payment has been received.
All events take place online unless specified otherwise. Please make sure in advance that you have a stable internet connection. We accept no liability for technical problems during the event caused by your internet connection or by problems with your hardware, and such problems do not constitute grounds for a full or partial refund of the fee.
Please register no later than 10 working days (including Saturdays) before the event starts. Later admission to an event is possible if it is not fully booked, provided that payment is received before the event begins.
There are minimum and maximum numbers of participants for each event that must be observed. Unless stated otherwise, the minimum number of participants is 8 people. If an event is overbooked, we will offer you alternative dates; if there are too few participants, we reserve the right to cancel the event. Should we cancel an event, we will inform you in good time and refund any payments already received as quickly as possible.
If you have registered for one of our events, please note that our replies may also end up in the spam folder of the email address you provided. We therefore ask you to check your spam folder regularly. If you have not received a reply from us within five working days of registering, please contact info[at]codeprehensible.de.
Conclusion of contract in electronic commerce
The presentation of our events on the website does not constitute a legally binding offer but an invitation to register. By submitting the registration form via the button "Register with obligation to pay", you make a binding offer to conclude a paid contract for participation in the selected event. You will then receive an email with a confirmation link to verify your email address (double opt-in); this email does not yet constitute acceptance of your offer. The contract is only concluded when we accept your registration by sending the registration confirmation by email.
Before submitting the form, you can review and correct all entries directly in the form fields or abort the registration altogether. The contract text (your registration data and these terms) is stored by us; together with the registration confirmation you will receive the contract details and the withdrawal instructions by email. The current version of these terms can be accessed on this page at any time. The contract language is German; the English version of the website and the contract documents is a non-binding convenience translation.
Payment
We currently offer the following payment options: purchase on invoice, payment by bank transfer, or via PayPal.
After you have registered and we have confirmed your registration, you will receive the invoice by email at the address you provided. The invoice contains both our bank details and the address to which you can send payment via PayPal. If you choose to pay via PayPal, your payment is protected by the usual PayPal security measures. Since we are a business registered with PayPal, PayPal buyer protection also applies when you settle the invoice via PayPal.
The invoice must be paid within 14 days of the invoice date, but no later than 10 days before the course starts. If you register later than 10 days before the course starts, the invoice is due immediately upon receipt. If payment is not received, we reserve the right to cancel your reservation.
Access to our services and materials
For some events, access to our online platform is provided. We do our best to offer this service for the duration of the respective event, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted use. Furthermore, participants warrant that they will not pass on or redistribute the resources and materials made available (e.g. the server, handouts) to third parties and will not use them for illegal activities. Should we detect such activities, we will inform the competent authorities.
Cancellation
Free cancellation (Stornierung) is only possible up to 10 working days (excluding Saturdays) before the first day of the event; otherwise the full fee becomes due. This also applies if you registered for the event within that 10 working day period.
The statutory right of withdrawal for consumers (see the cancellation policy) remains unaffected by this cancellation provision.
Illness
In case of illness before the event starts, the fee can either be refunded or the event can be made up within one year. This requires submission of a medical certificate (ärztliches Attest) within seven calendar days of reporting the illness.
In case of illness during an ongoing event, unfortunately no full or partial refund of the event fee is possible. However, if spots are available, you may attend the booked event again within one year.
Recordings
We prohibit any audio or video recordings during the online sessions.
